Burnley Council are currently seeking a programme manager to lead one of Burnley’s most important community & regeneration programmes at a pivotal moment for the town. As Pride in Place Programme Manager, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering long-term investment that will help create a stronger town, support local community pride, and improve the everyday experience of living, working and spending time in Burnley.
Backed by £20 million of government funding over the next 10 years, Burnley’s Pride in Place Programme will support regeneration and local placemaking. Reporting to the Burnley Town Board and central government, you will help turn local priorities into visible, lasting change for residents, businesses and communities across Burnley.
You will lead programme planning, reporting, budget management, monitoring and evaluation; while working closely with project deliverers, residents, businesses and key community partners to ensure investment is well managed and that the community are engaged, ensuring their voices remain at the heart of delivery. This is a high-profile role for a confident and credible programme manager who can combine strategic oversight with strong practical delivery.
To succeed, you will bring significant project or programme management experience, strong financial and analytical skills, and the ability to build effective community relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. In return, you will have the chance to make a meaningful contribution to Burnley’s future by helping to deliver investment that strengthens Burnley, supports young people and families, and builds confidence and opportunity across the community.
